Bio of Genexi2, developer of Space Inflictors

It all started out when I first caught glimpse of this program called "RPG Maker95" I found off a friends disc, and after toyin' with it and havin the joys of easy point-and-click adventures of RPG making, I noticed a newer version of the program, RPG Maker2000 (RM2K abbreviated) was out, so I went over to download it, and etc.

Then after that, I started getting tired of the many limitations that these point-and-click programs offered. So I started searchin Don Miguel's site (the guy who made the English translation for RM2K, as it actually only existed in Japanese) for some other form of program which would suit my needs, and I came across his links page, which contained a badoozle of things, includin' links to paint programs, tile-map makers, RPG tutorials, and 2 specific ones I looked at, a link to BlitzBasic.com and Darkbasic.com.

I first tried downloadin DarkBasic after see'in some screenshots of it on their homepage, but after 5 minutes of LOOKING for a demo, I decided to dump it and check out the Blitz link, and voila, a Blitz Basic (2d) demo was available with no annoying limitations such as "limited # of uses" or etc.

At first I had no clue how to program, I was basically a total programmin' noob, and after being able to achieve nothing at first try, I dropped the program. Dunno what happened later, but I somehow jumped back onto the bandwagon and tried again, this time I went through some of the tutorials provided within the demo (most of them written by Krylar ;) ), and after tinkering with bits and pieces, I worked up a VERY simple text-adventure, which was about 15 seconds long if you tried to play it.

After discovering Krylar's little BlitzCoder site, I decided to register the place and ask for help on one of my other programs which was a simple "graphic" adventure, where my issue being was I didnt know how to update my images, and that I knew nothing about loop's, page flipping, and etc. A couple years later, well, here I am, still an intermediate coder, and winner of the SpaceInvaders Clone compo in the 2d Category. :-/
