Galaxial Empire

The game is going to be an inter-planetary Realtime Strategy game, similar to "StarWars: Supremacy". Using Dynamic LOD I made it possible to have 50 systems and 250 planets constantly revolving and orbiting all at once, and the ability for the camera to zoom as far out as the full galaxy and as far in as a single system with all the planets orbiting in 3D.

I'm making the game incredibly active, unlike "Starwars: Supremacy" was in its display. The planets there were more like icons, but in this game, the whole game is moving all the time. If you set a ship to go from Planet A to B, you can see that ship flying slowly to Planet B and you can change its orders at any time.

Game Speed will also be changeable during the game, since a lot of it is resource management and buildings get built over time, not instantaneously. Therefore you can speed up the game and all the events will be quicker, or you can slow it down if a lot is going on.

The gameplay will be the following: Each system has 4-7 planets which contribute to the overall vegetation, gold, metal and tachonium (depending on the type of planet), and then affect population growth, what you can produce and how quickly your mines can harvest resources. By converting population into infantry (but leaving enough to continue growing) you can travel to other planets and take them over. As things progress, you will be able to build cargo ships to carry goods from one system to another, and will need to build fighter ships to protect your carriers from enemies. You will also have the ability to destroy entire enemy planets if they resist your army.

The last difference I'd like to make is this: In Starwars Supremacy there were two sides. I'd rather have up to 5 computer opponents that could battle each other as well as you, making it a giant interplanetary free-for-all!!
