| Okay, alot has been happening behind the scenes in the game....A big one being collision detection is about 70% finished. Some basic animations are also in the game(walking, climbing into ring, punching, ect.) I have also restructered code a bit so I can begin working on selections such as match setup screen and reworking the options menu. A Demo may be out by Labor Day!

| C->Createawrestler is coming along but has been expanded. You can now edit many more aspects of your wrestlers appearance.
N->I have finished the male wrestler mesh. whether or not a female model will be include is yet to be seen.
I plan on finishing the createawrestler by weeks end. A current list of things you can edit are: Hair 6 Styles, 8 colors Skin 6 colors ringattire short,medium,long 6 colors each shirts short,medium,long, 6 colors each pads for elbows, wrists, knees, 6 colors each boots or shoes props ie glasses, microphone, waterbottle weapons bat, 2x4, cane,

| Okay, things are coming along. I have been spending most of my time designing the wrestler meshes. Right now, you can change a wrestlers shorts,pants,shirt, hair, face, boots, hands,. I have set up some simple collision detection. Right now I am working on the meshes for the basic animations, walking, punching, kicking.... from there I will expand the collision detection. Currently the demo is due out for late August.

| Okay, there has been a change of plan.... the 2d wrestling has been modified to 3d.... Which meant scrapping the graphics, game engine and code. The basic plan remains intact. I have also spent the last week working on my computer which was suffering some major 3d problems... Anyways, I am now back on track.
Here is the progress so far. -Initial stadium complete -Initial ring complete -Initial menu complete

| This weeks efforts have been plagued by the flu. Here are the updates:

This is a 2D Computer Wrestling game. I have played a lot of wrestling games on the PS and Nintendo 64 and I have always wanted a more in depth product. So hence the birth of my Championship Wrestling Game. Here is a list of current progress.
Finished Initial Ring Design - This took most of the first 3 days of my time to get right. I finally have a finished product I am pleased with and can tweek more later.
Prototype Wrestler - I have spent the time I haven't been working on the ring working on wrestlers. I have only completed very basic movements such as walking in 4 directions, and a variety of facial expressions at this time.
Stadium Aestetics - I have made an initial entrance stage and other small items for now.
Game Engine - Supports wrestler movement/animations in 4 directions.
NEXT WEEKS FOCUS: Generic Animations- Character entering/exiting the ring. Basic attack animations such as kicks and punches.
Game Engine- Basic Collision Detection, Game Timing. I want to get timing out of the way early.
I plan on updating this log on a weekly basis. Plans for in game features are as follows: Create a Wrestler Career Mode Tag Team Matches Back Stage Fights and More to Come.... |
