I have been working on graphics for my first game, instead of the web site. I don't know if I will get the site finished this week or not. I want to try to since I am going in for kidney surgery on June 10th and may not feel like doing too much next week.

I am programming only for fun, and mainly writing games just for myself to play, so there is not exactly a rush on anything.

The weekends are VERY tough for me to get any work done, as it is family time and I would not have it any other way.

After much debating, and through trial and error, I finally managed to come up with a logo that I like. I ended up not using the contributions others made, but I did use the suggestions and make the company name more prominent. I also changed the coloring of the console around and did a much better job lighting up the actual game screen.

I hope to get the web site completed this week.

My remake of Little Computer People is a long way off, but I am already starting to try and work the logic out on paper.

I literally have not coded any games since the early days of DOS, and before that on the old TRS-80 Color Computer 2. Since then, I was stuck mainly writing front end/menu/installer systems. So any gaming skills I had are VERY rusty.

I am going to try and make my first Blitz game an easy one. I am doing a remake of an old electronic Dungeons and Dragons game. It should be pretty simple, but complex enough to help me get comfortable with Blitz BASIC.

Regards,

Brice

After a nice break, I have quit the ministry, work, turned down a job offer as Chaplain at a local nursing home and am ready to go full throtle with Blitz again.

I will still keep working as a web master for one ministry and keeping their MP3 site updated. So working for the Lord a little.

First on the list is to try and get a functional 2D level editor together. Seems this is where I left off at and left Blitz over frustrations trying to get one finished. Grr...

I am continuing with 2D only, and for the most part doing retro styled games. Since the games will be "vintage" themed, I decided to permanently drop the company name, White Eagle Software. I registered for a traders license (what MD calls a DBA) with the state of Maryland, under the name Lost Reflections.

I am thrilled with the progress Blitz has made in my absence. Mark has done a fabulous job.

I am looking forward to Blitz MAX and having video hardware independent 2D. WOOHOO!!!

Regards,

Brice
