| Wahay, it's finsished.
And now for something completely different... |

| Okay, I've added some sound effects and some music. Just doing some final tweaks whilst I wait for another piece of music to add in to the game. Once I have this, it will be done - hoorah! |

| Now I've recovered from the X-mas drinking, I've been making the final tweeks to the game.
The high score table is done and I've changed some of the key actions so the menus use a different action key to the game to avoid skipping screens by accident.
In addition to ditching the Gremlin, I'm also going to leave the power ups for now - I just want to get this finished and I don't have much spare time :-(
I've got a couple of people doing some music and I need to add in the sound effects, most of which I have now.
I've also been playing with the difficulty settings and I think I've cracked it now :-)

| Well, I thought it was about time that I finish off this beast!
I'm not going to bother with the gremlin idea due to the lack of a gremlin sprite (perhaps I will add it to a later version). I will still add power ups though.
I need to get the time calculations correct for each level so it is not too difficult, yet not too easy. Hmmmm.
Apart from this, all I really have to do is add some sound effects & a high score table.
I still don't have much free time but I hope to finsish it in the next few weeks... |

| I've got someone who is having a go at doing the Gremlin sprites for me and I have also found some nice sounds effects which I should be able to use.
Not long until completion now... |

| Well, the demo is now available which includes the first 5 levels of the game.
All that's left to do now, is add sound effects, high score table, & the Gremlin/bonuses... |

| Well, the platform idea didn't last too long. I had a sudden flash of inspiration to do a remake of a simple puzzle game I wrote years ago. As usual though, I have got carried away and added loads of extra features.
Each level consists of a randomly generated board with a number of connected tiles. Depending on the difficulty level, there is a sequence of 2, 3, or 4 colours. Each level also has a target colour and a time limit.
You 'slide' your cursor from tile to tile. When you land on a new tile it changes to the next colour in the sequence. When all tiles are the target colour, the level is complete.
To make the game interesting, there are special tiles and every few seconds, one tile will slide to a new position. I will also be adding a 'Gremlin' who will drop bonuses every now & again. However, he also messes with your tile colours too!

| I've decided I'd like to write a platform game. I will still be developing Fallen Cities but I need something else to work on ;)
This new game will also be using my map engine, AME. Although this may slow down development of AME, it will make it more flexible and I'm sure I will be adding more features & functionality that will be needed by platform style games! |
